A bit about me …….

Hello, I’m Lilian Kelly. Welcome to Room to Change, addiction counselling online and in Edinburgh. My practice is based on self-care and compassion, with a focus on your goals and what you want to achieve in your recovery.

I trained for 4 years in counselling and psychotherapy with Physis Scotland in Edinburgh, and I hold a post-graduate diploma in counselling using Transactional Analysis. I also hold a diploma in working with sex addiction, and I’m qualified to deliver the StopSO COFRA 121 therapeutic rehabilitation programme. I use an integrated approach to counselling and combine techniques from Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

A number of years ago I had a big change in my life and I decided to do something I’m passionate about. I left my job in finance and began working in homeless accommodation for women, and for the last 4 years I worked with a drug and alcohol recovery service. I currently work as a Clinical Associate for a leading sex addiction centre.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a member of Addiction Professionals. I work within the ethical codes of these professional bodies.

A safe and confidential space to explore whatever you’re going through and make the changes you want.

Friends & Family Support Room

Substance use and addictive behaviours can damage family dynamics, erode trust, and break communication. The role of the family in recovery is very important.

Group Room

The group dynamic encourages open and honest feedback, and connection between people with shared experiences.
